Ulta Haul/review

The other day my mom and I went to Ulta *love that store* and I bought these things:

I bought 3 Nyx round lipsticks in B52, Rae and Pumpkin Pie. Nyx are my favorite lipsticks to use and these are a good edition to the mini collection I have.
I also bought 2 Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils in Milk and Rust. Everybody knows about Milk and yes, I finally got it, but Rust is a really amazing deep metallic red, I love it.

I hate when people only show you the lipstick color on their hand and not put on so I'm showing them on.
Rae
Pumpkin Pie
B52

As well as Nyx stuff, I got some Ulta brand things. 3 Automatic Eye Liners in Black, Raisin and Moss and an eyeshadow in Nightsky. These eyeliners are amazing, great pigmentation, no doubt. Once they dry, they do  not move at all, my mom and I were in awe. I think I found the perfect black pencil liner and I will definitely be buying more. The eyeshadow is a dark navy blue with multicolored glitters in it, I wish they would have had a swatchable one when I  bought it because I wouldn't have got this one. You really have to build this color up to get it to look good, the swatch was about 5-8 layers not good. It's a nice color once you get to it but definitely not worth it.

Bright Purple and Grey Smokey Eye

I was looking threw my makeup figuring out what colors would look good together and I really liked this combination. I think it looks rather pretty.

easy, VERY cheap work/school look

So for this look I decided to use really inexpensive makeup for those who don't want to spend lots of money on makeup. What I used were 2 L.A. Colors eyeshadow palettes. They each come with 12 eyeshadows and only cost $1 at the dollar store. I think it's worth it because they are not that bad and way cheap.
This look is one to wear at a job interview or your job and if you go to a school where they are strict on how you wear your makeup then this works good too.

Wet N Wild Color Icon palette in Lust tutorial

Every time I see someone doing a look with this palette they never use the grey so I decided to do one using of course the grey. It's a really nice color so I don't understand why people avoid it.

Mini Urban Decay Haul and Review

Urban Decay is currently having a sale on a few of their items, the loose pigments, smoke out eye pencils and ultraglide lip gloss' are all $5 each so I decided to order some.
I got three pigments in:
Protest a forest grey green with multicolored sparkle
Asphyxia a bright pink with a purple sheen
Rockstar a dark purple with silver glitter and multicolored shimmers
I also bought a smoke out pencil in Maui Wowie, a dark khaki colour.
They came with a Stardust Eyeshadow sample and a primer potion sample as well.

Swatches: With Flash

Natural Light
*swatches done over Urban Decay Primer Potion*

Protest and Rockstar had 1.2 grams while Asphyxia had 1.0 gram. They come in a tube and when you unscrew the tops there is a brush attached to the end. They are very pigmented except Asphyxia needs a bit more of a build up to get as bright as it should be. The only bad thing to me is that the brushes are rather stiff and end up dropping a lot of the eyeshadow when you pull it out so there will be a mess.
Maui Wowie is exactly what I thought it would look like, perfect! It comes with 1.16 grams  and attached to the bottom is one of those sponge blenders. It's smooth but you have to press for the color to show up good.

Basically, with the loose pigments normally being $20 and the smoke out eye pencils being $14, $5 is a great price for some good makeup.

Grey Blue Makeup using some Avon eyeshadows

So I had to go somewhere real quick and needed some fast but still nice makeup. This turned out way better looking then I thought it would. Hope you like it!

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Wet N Wild Color Icon pallet in Lust the white shimmery colour *highlight and inner corner*
Avon eyeshadow singles in Periwinkle *lid* and Navy *outer corner and crease/above crease*
Ulta eyeshadow in Nightsky *crease*
Nyx's black eyeshadow *crease/eye  socket*

To finish apply black eyeliner to upper and lower lashlines and wing it out. Add mascara or false eyelashes if you want, I didnt because I was just going down the street and didnt feel like hassling.

If you dont have these exact colours, you can of course swap them out for ones you do have.

P.S. I need to trim my eye brows so ignore the fact that they are a bit long please hahaha

Glamour Doll Eyes Twi-shadows Review and Swatches

Alright so I am IN LOVE with Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadows, and they happen to have a collection of eyeshadows called twi-shadows. Now twi-shadows are no different from the regular eyeshadows they are just colours inspired by the Twilight Saga books and have a different sticker label then the normal line. So far there are 10 twi-shadows and I know Vee, the owner, has said she plans to make more so I can't wait for that. So lets get started:

I bought the collection, called Eternal Bonds collection, in sample size jars which costs S17.75 and you get about 1 gram of product. They also sell sample baggies which cost $11.25 with .5 grams of product, and full size jars for $20 with 2-2.5 grams without a sifter and 1.5-2 grams with a sifter. You can also buy each colour individually, a sample baggie is $1.50, sample jar is $2.50 and a full jar is $6 each.

The colours are: Family Secret which represents the Cullen family as a whole and is a pearly white that is more of a sheen. Skin of a Killer which also represents the family but for when they are out in the sun, it is a pearly white with gold sparkle. The Perfect Cure is a beigey brown with gold and green sparkle and it is for Carlisle. Dear Mom is of course for Esme and it is a light pink that has a rather blue or purple shimmer at times. Just Bitten is a gorgeous burgundy wine colour that has gold sparkle in it. Big Brother is a greyish green that really reminds me of a vintage 20's green, Emmetts's colour. Mood Swing is a shimmery grey blue for Jasper. Premonition is for Alice and it is a dark lavender with a grey base. Mind Reader is a matte REALLY dark blue with silver shimmer in it, Edward's. Black Ice is Rosalie's matte black with silver shimmer colour.

These are the colours in their jars and in natural sun light.

(it took me forever to get good pictures because my hands shake so if they're a little blurry I'm sorry, I tried really hard!)

I really like the idea of this collection and I adore the colours. My favorites are Big Brother, Just Bitten and Premonition tho I love them all, those are just the 3 I use the most. The colours are really pigmented and when used wet they look really shimmery and Mind Reader and Black Ice are like paint with sparkle in them, really good for eyeliners. The only con I can think of about this collection is that I really wish that there weren't two pearly whites especially because they look almost exactly the same. Skin of a Killer has gold shimmer in it which is I guess supposed to be the difference between the two but you can't really tell unless you look closely.
As a bit of an easter egg, the labels like I said are different from the non twi-shadows and the font's are also different. The font used for glamour doll is Alice's hand writing and where it says the name of the colour and whom it's inspired by is Twilight font. I think that's really cute and I like how Vee took the time to find those fonts and make the twi-shadows that much special.

Anyways, I highly recommend you buying these, you will not be disappointed!

This contest I won

I won first place in this twilight themed contest on youtube a few weeks back that was held by PinkMartiniAZ, her names Lori, and I got the package about a week ago so I figured I would share it with you.

So what I got was Bella & Edward Lotion from Gypsie Doodle Soap, Twilight's Embrace Soap that was made from the bella and edward lotion scents it is not the full size shown because I gave half to my dad, Twilight Woods Shower Gel, a little box that says 'Memories Cherish Yesterday, Dream Tomorrow, Live Today'Twilight Charm Bracelet, Twilight Candles by Victoria Candle that she had used and didnt like, LA Colors Glitter Gloss which isn't pictured because I don't wear lipgloss that much so I gave it to my mom, ELF Mini Makeup Collection, a pair of False Eyelashes, an Apple Lotion and 3 Glamour Doll Eyes twishadows in Black Ice, Skin of a Killer and Just Bitten.

This is a swatch of the twishadows, I can't remember if it was with flash or not but I think it is. The red is Just Bitten, the white is Skin of a Killer and the black is Black Ice. I am not going to go into too much detail about the colours here because I am going to be doing a twishadows review and swatches next.

This is the ELF Mini Makeup Collection, no flash, I was going to post swatches but decided against it so as to not bore hahaha.

I was really excited to get this charm bracelet, it is just so cute. The last charm on the left is a lamb that has 'Bella Baby' written on it which I love.

Any who, there you go and if you have any questions about anything specific let me know in the comments. Hope you had fun looking at this real quick and a big thank you to Lori!
